Error message "There was an error during machine translation"

Question

When I open a new project, almost immediately I see "An error has occurred while using the translation provider SDL Language Cloud Machine Translation: There was an error during machine translation." 
 I have updated my NET Framework version to 4.7.2, but this message keeps appearing. Any ideas?

Did you create the project yourself from single files or did you receive a project package (PPX) from your client? 
 
Are you able to open other projects without issue?
