AdaptiveMT / SDL Language Cloud security

Question

Hi, 
 on SDL website they say that "AdaptiveMT is completely secure and no data is shared with other users". The online guide about AdaptiveMT says that "Using an MT provider may violate your non-disclosure agreement with your translation customer. Check with your customer before connecting to an MT provider". 
 So are AdaptiveMT and the SDL Language Cloud safe to use in terms of confidentiality or not? Why does it say they may violate the non-disclosure agreement? Some customers might not like to hear that a translator is using a machine translation service or misunderstand it. Secondly, the tools that a translator uses should be kept confidential. I don't understand why checking with customers all the time, since most projects must not be disclosed.

 These are two completely different things. First of all you have this:

 Yes they are. AdaptiveMT is used withinnLanguageCloud and we are a secure environment and won't share the data with other users.

 This is a different thing. It does not matter what we or any other vendor says. If your confidentialty agreement says don't use online MT then it's irrelevant how we treat the data. You will be breaking that agreement if you use it. So the warning is there as a reminder for you to check and be sure you are complying with that agreement.
