Interesting. My SDL NMT stopped working yesterday too. I got a message that I had exceeded my allotted character count, which has never happened before.

I got no message, just that something that shows the NMT and language pair when you hit "Use" in the memory selection area was clear as crystal. A couple days before, after each loggin in SDL LC I received a strange error message saying that it expected a colon sign somewhere (":") asking whether or not I wanted to run scripts on the page. When I said yes, the error disappeared and everything went well. This was happening for I don't know how many days exactly, maybe 5-10. Today, it "upgraded" to an error saying something in strange language, referring me to a website I never saw before; the page on that site said that the "translation" of the error message's strange phrasing was "Should not already be working." That's the whole story..
