I have found my API key, but is not accepted. Why not?

We are aware of an issue whereby it works if you have a pre-populated API key but then you include a space then immediately remove the space (basically update the API key field)

Unfortunately, no.
Perhaps I have purchased the wrong DeepL product? I have the DeepL API (free) - I want to try out DeepL

I'm a bit confused.  If it's free why did you have to purchase it?

DeepL only provide an API key for CAT tools with the DeepL Pro version:

You need Advanced or Ultimate.

I am also confused: the Trados DeepL app documentation does not state what version is required. By "free" I mean, purchased but free for the first month.

If you go to the link I shared and scroll down you’ll see there is a section on CAT tool integration. Only the Advanced and Ultimate subscriptions support this.
