Hi,
I am using Language Weaver in parallel to DeepL, and especially when there is a lot of custom terminology, the adapted Language Weaver models are very, very useful. I just started using the dictionary, which is another step up in time-savings.
My question is this:
a) It would be very useful to have an option in the context menu of Trados Studio (I am using 2021) "add to Language Weaver dictionary", just like there is the option to add to MultiTerm. I guess you'd have to introduce something like a "default" dictionary in case a user uses more than one dictionary, or you have a dropdown where the user can decide which dictionary to add the terms to.
b) This idea is a bit more complex, but if there was a way of saying (dictionaries), in this context, "connector" means "Kupplungsstück" and in that context it means "Verbindungsstück", that would be very useful. This would require the user to enter additional "context" terms that trigger or block a dictionary entry. Could be done like positive and negative weights, and if there is more than one translation for a source term, the term with the greatest positive weight is used.
I must say I am growing more and more fond of this MT tool, it really speeds up translations with custom terminology, especially if the sentences are not too complex.
