Language Weaver not showing language pairs after upgrading to Studio 2024

Since upgrading to Studio 2024, I’ve lost access to Language Weaver. When I try to activate it, no language pairs appear in the dropdown, even though I have EN>ES and ES>EN properly configured and activated. Has anyone experienced this issue or found a workaround?

Any help will be very much welcomed!

    Hello!

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with Language Weaver after upgrading to Trados Studio 2024. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

**Step 1:** **Check Language Weaver Configuration**

Ensure that the correct Language Weaver Edge translation engine is configured and that it has the available language pairs you need.

**Step 2:** **Verify API Key and Credentials**

If you are using an API Key, generate a new one and ensure that you enter the plugin credentials in the correct order: Host, Port, secure protocol (tick box), Use API Key (radio button), and then the API Key itself.

    **Step 3:** **Network Configuration**

Check for any firewalls or network configurations that might be blocking the connection to Language Weaver.

**Step 4:** **Reset Trados Studio Settings**

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider resetting your Trados Studio settings. You can do this by renaming the Studio16 folder located at `C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16`.

    **Step 5:** **Remove Unsupported Projects**

If you have a long list of projects, remove any that contain language pairs not supported by your Language Weaver Edge provider.

**Step 6:** **Reinstall Language Weaver Plugin**

If the issue persists, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Language Weaver Cloud plugin to ensure you have the latest version compatible with Trados Studio 2024.

    **Step 7:** **Check for Updates**

Lastly, check for any updates within Trados Studio, as these may contain fixes for issues related to Language Weaver.

I hope these steps help you regain access to your language pairs in Language Weaver! If you continue to experience issues, please provide more details about any error messages or specific settings you've checked.
