How to use untrained language memory in SDL Language Cloud

Good morning, I'm new to SDL Trados Studio 2015 Freelance and I have to start from scratch as I don't have any previous translation memories that I could import. I signed up for various web seminars and courses for a better understanding of how to get the most out of SDL Trados Studio 2015 Freelance. I also signed up for a 30 days trial with language cloud. I understand how to train language cloud but how can you access untrained memory( machine translation)  which I believe would speed up the process of building up your language memory file. Could someone walk me through this process as I can't make it work for me ? Thank you. Kind regards Rudi

  • Hi Rudi,

I moved your post into the TP forum a s it's probably more appropriate in here.  I think this video might be what you're looking for to get started.  I'd turn the sound off as it sounds like a 1990's video game, but it's fairly encompassing even though its also based on Studio 2014

Ultimately all you are going to do is add SDL Language Cloud to your list of machine translation providers and you'll get MT results in Studio as you work.

    Regards

    Paul
