Cannot open termbase in Multiterm 2017

Question

I have just installed the 2017 package, and now find that I cannot open one of my termbases. I get the message "Termbase is read-only. Operation not allowed". If I then click on OK, I get the message "A connection to SDL Multiterm Server unknown could not be established. Please check your connection settings." When I click the termbase file in Windows Explorer and go to Settings, the "Read only" box is not checked. Still I am told it is read only. It worked fine in Multiterm 2015. Any ideas on how to open this termbase? Thanks Hugh

I had a problem with this termbase in 2015 as well. It opened, but with errors. I reorganised but this didn’t help. So, I downloaded a new version of the Microsoft TBX terminology from their website and recreated it. This works. 
 
So whilst I could not fix your problem with this file perhaps this is helpful for you? I put the converted termbase and the TBX I downloaded in the zip I just emailed you.
