Cannot open in Multiterm the termbases created in Trados

Question

Hello, 
 I am new to SDL Trados and Multiterm. 
 I started working in SDL Trados 2017 and I created (and used) several termbases. 
 Now I installed Multiterm 2017 and tried to open ("load") those termbases I created previously working in SDL Trados. 
 I get a message "Error: invalid character in the given encoding. Line 1 position 25." 
 I get the same message (the same line and position) for all the termbase files i try to open.

Hi Gunta, 
 
The following article will help you rectify this- 
 
In Termbase Management, right-click on 'Import' and select 'Process'. Browse to the XML file created by the Glossary Convert. Don't select Fast import and click Next. Name the Exclusion file and click Next.
