Error messages while starting MT

When starting MT we get some strange messages, showing here:

Finally, MT starts, but does not open any termbases - it reports a fail in connecting to an unknown server. No server is configured though.

Now we removed all settings files from the known path and even renamed the Multi Term entry in the system registry, to no avail. Neither reinstall nor repari do help also. So how can I get MT (and Studio) running again?

    Sorry, should have added that - both 32 and 64 bit version have been reinstalled. I've found that particular article prior to posting here.
    On the computer there are also MS C++ 2012, 2013 and 2015 (and some older too) installed. Unfortunately no change.
