Regularly we review and update our termbases. Sometimes we go through an offline exercise involving the translation of new terms, update of others and crucially, and that is the problem we encounter, the deletion of some existing terms.

To keep things simple and to make sure unwanted terms are deleted, we find it easier to create a brand new termbase and delete the old one. This approach has problems as termbases have to be deleted by the IT team, or templates and projects lose connection to the old termbase or need to be changed to point to the newly created and named termbase.

Does anybody regularly replace termbases? If so, do you have any special tool or process you’re happy with?

Alternatively is there a way of batch-deleting terms from a termbase?
