Hi all,
I have been using both Trados and Memsource to translate from Russian to English. This has brought up some problems regarding the highly inflected nature of Russian, as if the term is in the termbase in the nominative, this is the only form in which it can be recognised. In Memsource you can add pipe characters (|) to your termbase to indicate where the root of the word is, it will then find all other cases of the term if they are present. There is also a software called 'Term Morphology Editor', which uses external sources to determine the root of the word and then produces a termbase with pipe characters. I was wondering if anyone knew of an equivalent to use with Trados/Multiterm? Or failing that, any way to get around the problem of inflection when using a termbase in Russian. I'm hoping the solution isn't to add every possible inflection of a term!
Thank you,
Zosia
