Hi,
I just want to share my view and check whether maybe I am missing something.
We have recently installed GroupShare and MultiTerm Server with the intention of using it on a wider scale in our company as a tool for terminology management.
One of the main mechanisms we want to implement is to restrict rights of some user groups for them to be able only to edit some fields and, whenever they add a new term, we want it to be automatically given the "suggested" status.
We thought it is perfectly doable as the Administrator tab in MultiTerm Desktop gives a possiblity to lock access to some fields and create Input Models where the status field can be automatically set to the "suggested" value and locked.
But everything falls by the wayside, because there's always the Default Layout available to each user (it's part of Public Objets) which is not influenced by the settings of the input model. This means that even though I can create and activate the Input Model where the status is predefined and locked, the user can always use the Default layout where (s)he can set the value of the status field to whatever (s)he wants.
Are my findings right? Or am I missing something about restricting rights and using Input Models?
Is there a way to disable the Default Layout for a given user group or make it follow the settings of the selected Input Model?
Thanks,
Piotr
