The tool is called "Spreadsheet compare" only available with Office Professional Plus 2013, Office Professional 2016, or Office 365 Pro Plus. Although the tool is intended for complex Excel spreadsheets, it comes very handy for text. Find, for instance, deleted rows, added rows, changed values, etc.

The Sourceforge app is something else, whereas the Microsoft Office app is installed by default in a folder called "Microsoft Office Tools". It would be a matter of personal taste to choose either one. The Microsoft Office tool displays the results in a dashboard with all the information neatly arranged in one place.

The interesting thing about this tool (Spreadsheet Compare) is that it was not created primarily with the purpose of processing text. Excel, as we know, is a great tool for crunching numbers big time (statistics, finance, you name it) and processing text is sort of a byproduct. However, I know for a fact, that for text processing (i.e. string manipulation) Excel is very powerful with all the text formulas at your disposal plus the power of VBA.
