Hi,
I'd love to use it only when I need it, not every time Windows starts. Is there any way to stop it in Settings?

Yes, I do know how to do it, but I wanted to find a way to configure the setting in the multiterm widget. =)
For anyone who happens to read this page for the same question, go to the Start button (I'm using Windows 7) and click on Run... then type "msconfig" which will open a dialogue box with several tabs. Go to the Startup tab and tick off the SDL Multiterm Widget.
Thank you for the reply Jerzy!
