Security alert when adding terms from Studio 2011 to a TB

Hi,

I'm having once again problems when trying to add terms, as far as I translate in the Studio 2011 Editor, to my TB via the Ctrl+F2 shortcut. What I get for each term addition is two security alert windows asking (I translate it since I see it in French):

"Do you wish to authorize the access to the following application from this Website?

Website: file://

Application: UNKNOWN

Editor: SDL PLC

This Website is asking for access to the Java application above at its control. Only authorize access if you trust this Website and if you know which application will be executed."

Then I have to click on "authorize" in the first window and again in the identical second one to be able to see my term addition. Can you please help me and tell me if there's any way to get rid of these messages?

Thank you very much in advance

Francesco

  • Hi Francesco,

We have a tool available as part of a KB article that can ensure you have the correct settings to work with MultiTerm.  Please review the article before running the tool in case your set up includes something that needs special handling:  kb.sdl.com/.../article

All you do is download, and unzip to your desktop.  Then close all applications and then right-click on this file “Client-MTJUR.exe” in Windows Explorer to run as admin.

Let me know if it does the trick.  If you are using Win 8 you might have to lower your UAC controls as Win 8 seems to have this habit of prompting you to accept some Java changes that then reset things so they don’t work again.  Let me how you get on anyway.

    Regards
