In one of the webinars on the SDL site, the presenter announces she will talk about how to handle SEO terms in Terminology Management - but then she does not seem to get around to it, at least it's not in the webinar. Does anybody know a good source to start into that topic?

I had to look what webinar that was. None of my slides make any reference to SEO. Hm. So, let me just say a few things here.
It's obviously not a straightforward subject. Kara Warburton and I did a whole research paper for a client where we established the DCs and the workflow for a scenario that involved both prescriptive terminology work and terminology work for SEO.
The goal of making a web page findable is the opposite of enforcing consistent terminology. Therefore, it is important that humans (and/or machines) recognize quickly what the purpose of a certain entry is. I think we sometimes underestimate the amount of data that users need to digest; I would consider that one of the main challenges. As of right now, I am not aware of a DC that is pegged for that purpose in DatCatInfo. So, choose one that makes it clear in your environment and consider that a term could be a preferred term AND there to help with SEO.
There is obviously more to this topic that I can express here. But I think it can be done if the DCs are clear and the users are not overwhelmed and confused (training!).

thank you very much for your reply! Should you (or SDL) run out of ideas for webinars, this would be a very interesting one. MIght be a bit messy from an academic point of view, but in practice, this is an issue.
What comes to mind (you called it "the opposite of enforcing consistent terminology") is the fleetingness of SEO terms. Today's grand keyword is replaced by another next month. Does the translator need to know some keyword indicators like search volume, average CPC and competition?
I am a bit concerned about messing up my "proper" Termbase with lots of SEO-stuff that I will have to maintain later. Maybe start a second termbase just with keywords?
I'd love to know how other companies deal with this issue.
