Hallo,
I'm sure there is an easy fix for this but I can't find it myself. When generating glossaries from Multiterm 2019, the RTFs come up with two sets of alphabetically sorted terms in one file. The first set is small but I can't figure out why there are two and fixing it manually with copy/paste is very tedious. Any ideas? I've done reorgs, we use the most current version of Multiterm, I've search for solutions online, all to no avail so far....

I'm sure there isn't! At least you're dabbling in the black arts of the RTF export that hardly anyone knows how to use anymore. I had a quick play and I can't replicate the problem with the default export. Have you customised it at all? Can you share your termbase perhaps, or a subset of it that gives the same problem?

Looks like I was being too optimistic :-)
Yes we are using the default export. The results are always in two sets as below.
I've also tried to make my own export (dabbling as you say in the black arts) but haven't been able to get anywhere.
I'll send our database to you if you could give me an email address.

Just a thought... but are you mixing Italian by any chance? So do you have simply Italian and then also italian-Italy? I'm wondering if this is causing the languages treated separately?

Unfortunately not. We have one termbase with 5 languanges and no language variants.

As per our emails, the only way I seem to have managed to resolve this was to recreate your termbase. After doing this the export seems to work ok. So a bit of a mystery why the problem occurred.

The difference seems to be the termbase definition. As soon as I use mine again, glossary splitting recurs.
The definition in the termbase you recreated excludes three fields (Quelle Multimedia, Quelle des Kontexts and Quelle der Definition) that are included in mine. Other than that I can can see no difference. So the problem persists unfortunately.
