we are working on localizing an E-learning project that contains many flash files needed to be translated on trados , do you have any automatic way to extract text from flash or SWF files to be translated and then return them back to flash file (it's not applicable to do this manually because we have a large number of scripts in each flash file) ?

You should make the Flash specifically localization-friendly in the first place, i.e. for example make it load the texts from external XML (or whatever else) file.
Any other way does involve various manual work, special 3rd party tools, etc.
thanks for your reply , it's not our files but we have received them this way and the client wants us to translate the entire project including flash files.

Now it's up to you to get back to the client and explain that SWF files are completely different beast than Word or HTML and that they actually CANNOT be localized as-is.
Unless someone has found some miraculous way/tool in the last year or two, Flash localization had to happen always on the FLA source level, more-or-less manually (especially if you need to deal with things like text length expansion, e.g. from English to German or French... or font issues with accented or Asian/Arabic characters, and so on). No way to do that automatically, AFAIK.
