I'm pretty sure this isn't possible.  I think your best bet may be to use the terminology verifier and set the ones you don't want to be used as forbidden terms.  At least this way you and your translators can get a warning if they use the wrong one.

Hello Paul, thank your for your suggestion. To be honest, I think this would be too much of an effort having to enter the forbidden terms in two different places and manually keeping the two identical all the time. If there was a way to export the forbidden terms to the terminology verifier, ok ....

But here's another idea I've had: Maybe it would be possible to have the status visible in the Term Recognition window? Like this, we could instruct our freelancers to use the permitted terms only.

That's not how forbidden terms work.  You don't have to enter them all, you just set the attribute as forbidden.  This article might be helpful for you:

Hi Paul. Great article, thank you very much. Have to admit that I'd never used the Verifier before but have learned how to use it now - thanks to your article and the video!

I've even done a litte testing in Studio - and it's working perfectly! ... By changing the hitlist settings to "Show status", the translators will be able to see which of the terms they're supposed to use. ... And the Verifier will find any undesired terms that have slipped through the net. Neat!
