Updating old versions of Multiterm termbases

Hello!

The first version of Trados I purchased was 2017. Two years later, I upgraded to the 2019 version and after about 6 months of working with this new product, I started to have a lot of problems with MultiTerm, the most frustrating being that Trados Studio randomly was unable to connect to any of my term bases.

This is the message I receive -

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'This terminology base was created with an earlier version of MultiTerm and must be updated. This action may take several minutes. Continue opening terminology bases?' with Yes and No options.

Whether I click yes or no, Trados is always unable to connect to the term base, meaning it is totally inexploitable.

I upgraded to Trados 2021 this week and decided to export and delete all my old term bases, create new ones using MultiTerm 2021 and import the old terms, hoping this time consuming process would sort the problem out. However this is not the case. A brand new term base created in MutliTerm 2021 still brings up this message.

Anyone any ideas of how to sort the problem?

Thanks in advance!
