Multiterm 2017. Error messsage when trying to open Term Base

Multiterm 2017. Error messsage when trying to open Term Base. "Unable to establish connection with SDL MultiTerm Server unkonwn. Check connection setting." I have unsuccessfully tried solutions  at gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge , but still doesn't work. Any ideas why? TKS!

  • Thank you for your reply Jose. Yes, MultiTerm is updated and it works when Im in Trados Studio, but it does not work when I go directly to MultiTerm and want to open a term base.  Here is my error stack.

  • Does it happen with a particular termbase or with any?

    Is this particular termbase in your hardrive?

  • It happens with all termbases on my hardrive (I don't use a server). I never had any problems up until mid February this year.

    The error message is pointing to 'no connection to MultiTerm Server'.

    Therefore, it sounds like the MultiTerm settings have been corrupted.

    Please reset and repair MultiTerm and ensure that both Studio and MultiTerm are on the latests updates

  • Hello Steven. Thanks for the message. I have already unisntalled and reinstalled Multiterm to the latest version and both Studio and MultiTerm are updated. I have already followed the resolutions (1, 2 and 3 ) mentioned in the link you suggested and I am still not able to open termbases on Multiterm, although it works perfectly well when I open Studio. I do not use server files, only files from my hard drive. And I am not connectd to a vpn. It was working perfectly up until mid February this year. i have tried with different termbases from my hard drive and still does MultiTerm does not work and I get the error message I have posted.

    Any other suggestion?
