Cannot create a termbase - "Not a valid file name" + "external configuration element Throw an exception" + "no root element..."

Question

I&rsquo;m using Trados Studio 2021 but I cannot create a termbase. 
 
 I have kept seeing this error message whenever I try to create a termbase.

I uninstalled all the SDL apps and reinstalled them several times, but nothing actually changed. 
 I have read relevant posts, but they did not help me as well. 
 
 Also, after I changed the location of the project file (to figure out the solution), this message below started to pop up. 
 (It means "external configuration element Throw an exception")

I attached the error reports. 
 Please help with this!

 We really need the full error stacksa to be able to try and pinpoint exactly what may be causing this.
