"object reference not set to an instance" when adding a term to a term base, unable to "sign in"

Hi,

I have a few problems I'm facing when using SDL Trados Studio 2017 Freelance (SR1 - 14.1.6284.6)

I am unable to "sign in". Nothing happens when I click on "sign in"
Every time I try to add a term a term base (happens with all my term bases) I get the error "object reference not set to an instance". I am therefore unable to update my term bases. I have SDL MultiTerm 2017 SR1 - 14.2.8.55461
When I click on "Help" on SDL Trados I am unable to "check for updates"
