What is the exact error message?

Could you please post the full error stack as this will help identify what may be the cause of the error-

Can you also explain how you did the conversion (MultiTerm Convert or the Glossary Converter) and provide an example of the layout in Excel to be able to handle synonyms?

Have you tried running a repair?  It may be the same problem noted here:

The article is for 2017 but just so just "read" 2021 instead.

You could also try reorganising your termbase before the repair as this might also help.  Do that here under Termbase Management:

I reorganised the termbase and repaired the software but it didn't change anything. I've noticed that the problem occurs only when I type specific words or expressions. When I just type random letters, there is no error message.

Can you tell us which specific words or expressions?  Perhaps there is something here we can reproduce that needs to be fixed?  If it's possible to provide a copy of your termbase as well that would also be helpful?  If not perhaps you can provide the export definition at least and then we can try to build a similarly structured database to test against your words and expressions?

actually, it seems to work now. I restarted my computer after repairing the software and now everything seems fine. Thank you so much for the help. I've been struggling with this problem for over one week now.
