Modifying the language field labels of my termbase

How can I modify the language field labels of my termbase? I would like to change the field labels I currently have ("Spanish Translation") to simply "Spanish". I clicked on Termbase Management, right click on "Definition" and select "edit"  but the text in the Language field label" is greyed out. Please help. Thank you!

  • Hi

You are referring to this view here and how in my case Language Field Label that says German in greyed out.

Where as my recently added Afar (Djibouti) is not

Why is German greyed out and yet Afar (Djibouti) is not?

Because I already have terms linked to the German level and changing it now would potentially compromise the database structure.
Ideally labels should be amended during Definition Import which is before terms are hosted.

Typically when such changes are needed, best export your termbase.
Then amend as you import back in, although I agree making such a change on the fly should technically be supported. Will flag this up to our ideas page for future consideration
