Multiterm desktop 2014 search function has stopped working in all termbases

Hello,

All of a sudden, I can´t search terms in any of my termbases in Multiterm 2014. All the content is there. I can do a search via MT Widget and I can use them via the Editor but when I open MT desktop and try to manually search for a term, it does not work. I select the right language combination, write the term in the search box, hit Enter and nothing happens at all. I even tried with back-up copies I had saved a while ago and the same result. The problem seems to be the desktop interface not the termbases themselves (which I have not modified for a while). The only thing I can think of is that I installed the latest Studio 2014 update as soon as it was released a few days ago. Any idea what may be wrong or any solutions?

Thanks,

Beatriz

  • Hi Beatriz,

    Apologies for this late response. If you are still having problems with this can you try reorganising your termbase? If this doesn't help you can log a case through the solution finder. Go to the Knowledgebase;

    http://kb.sdl.com/

    Then go to the tab called Solution Finder ( http://kb.sdl.com/?cid=23&tab=sf ) and now go here;

    Download & Installation Problems
    - I use SDL Trados Studio and/or SDL MultiTerm 2009, 2011, 2014 or 2015
    -- The installation went fine but now I get an error message etc
    --- The problem occurs in (pick the appropriate tool/s)
    ---- None of the articles resolved my problem (if they didn’t!)

    Follow the route for your problem and if there is no answer that helps by the time you get to the end you'll be presented with a form to contact support. Complete all the fields in the form making sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.

    Also use the Chrome browser to log the case if you have it; you'll get more success in completing the form.

    Regards

    Paul
