New Multiterm Extract?

Question

Hello, 
 I would like to ask whether there is to be any new version of Multiterm Extract, maybe a Java-less one? or one with support of SDLTM files or even with the ability to connect to a server-based TM. 
 I wasn't sure whether to ask here or in the developers section.

Hi, 
I attended the the SDL Road Show in Berlin recently and asked the same question there. I was told there would be a new version, but no details and no release date were provided.

One option is likely to be SynchroTerm from Terminotix. MultiTerm Extract is pretty old and really needs a significant rewrite. This could happen, but it won't be soon if it does, so looking at alternatives would be prudent if you need something soon.

MT Extract 2017 is an update. If using MT Server 2015 I would recommend using MT Extract 2015 if possible. 
 
Longer-term we are working on the "next-generation" of termbase extraction based on the upLift functionality introduced in Studio 2017, but it will still take a while to get something released in that area.
