You are right in that you dont need to have MultiTerm installed. It should work out the box.
That said the termbase is most likely needing to be reorganised and for that the creator of the termbase (or the trial user) needs MultiTerm to reorganise it.

This article is applicable for 2022 also and has details about reogranizing termbases.

In my opinion, since this measure is temporary, the Widget bar could be a solution. And supposedly it will need no reorganization (though the process is easy, I must admit). 

Lydia, since I see you are an expert in termbases, could you please explain why the Widget bar fails so much? Or is there any alternative option for sharing the TDB with non-translators? I have a thread where I explain our problem in detail, but until now no solution has been found.

The issue is very important and I would really appreciate your help.
