Now that I've got the hitlist in the correct language, a new problem arises... not all of the terms defined in the muliterm file appear in the hitlist....I'm sure there is a tutorial for all my questions- where do I find it?

Thank you for your post.
Following your question , it really depends on what you have defined in MultiTerm. Fo example , do you have the "Hard filter mode" ON ?
