This happens when working with more than one Termbase.
Go to Project Settings, Termbases, deselect Termbase Name and select again in another order. In other words, change the order of the Termbases.

What version of Studio/MultiTerm?

I'd be very surprised if changing the order was the solution here. More likely you set it up correctly the second time... or the fact you seem to be using dropbox for your resources has created an unreliable process for you and first it didn't work, then it did.
