Error when creating a termbase in MultiTerm 2015

Hi, I downloaded SDL Trados Studio + MultiTerm 2015 (freelance version). Studio works fine, but anytime I try to create a new termbase in MultiTerm, I do all steps from official SDL tutorial and after finishing the process I recive an error messenge: "Only for JET termbases." But the termbase is saved in SDL folder in correct format, so I try to open it and recive an other error messenge: "Check if this is a valid termbase and if you have premission to open it". My PC settings match with system requirements and I can´t try to open an older termbase, because this is my first SLD version. Thank you for your help.

  • You need to download the installation package first, then save it to a local location in your computer, preferably Desktop. Then right-click this file and select "Run as administrator" and not simply "Open" or "Run". This is mostly the second option. Unfortunately my operating system is in German, so I cannot give you the exact wording, but when you right-click, you should easily see the relevant option.
Please try to do this installation over your existing one and then check again. The error message you get would IMHO mean, that the JET engine from Microsoft hasn't been properly installed.
