SDL Studio 2019 - Issue working with Multiterm

I have an SDL Studio 2019 license installed in my laptotp and the different components of it are working properly except for Multiterm.

In fact, when  opening  Multiterm I am prompted wiith the follwoing messsage: "A connection to SDL MultiTerm Server unknown could not be established. Please check your connection settings."

How do I manage to solve this issue?

In fact, I have an urgent job to complete and am not able to work with Terminology databases.

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more details such as the exact version of SDL Studio 2019 and Multiterm you are using, the operating system of your laptop, and any recent changes you made to the system or software. Also, let us know if you have tried any troubleshooting steps already.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

The error message you're encountering suggests that Trados Studio is having trouble connecting to the MultiTerm Server. This could be due to a variety of reasons, including network issues, server downtime, or incorrect configuration settings. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

Step 1: Check your internet connection to ensure it's stable and working properly.

Step 2: Verify that the MultiTerm Server is up and running. If you're not sure how to do this, you may need to contact your IT department or the person responsible for maintaining the server.

Step 3: Check your connection settings in Trados Studio. Go to "Options" > "Language Pairs" > "All Language Pairs" > "Terminology" > "Default Termbase". Make sure the server address and other details are correct.

Step 4: Try restarting Trados Studio and MultiTerm to see if this resolves the issue.

If none of these steps work, it's possible that there's a more complex issue at play that may require further investigation.
