"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information about the steps you took before encountering the issue, the exact error message you received, and any troubleshooting steps you've already tried. Also, please specify your operating system and its version.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Sven,

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're facing with the installation of MultiTerm Desktop 2024. The IDP.Generic detection is a common false positive from antivirus programs, and it's possible that your antivirus software may have incorrectly flagged the MultiTerm Desktop 2024 installation file.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Temporarily disable your antivirus software and try to install MultiTerm Desktop 2024 again. Please ensure you're downloading the software from the official RWS website to avoid any potential security risks.

Step 2: If the installation is successful with the antivirus software disabled, you can then re-enable your antivirus software.

Step 3: Add exceptions for the Trados Studio and MultiTerm Desktop in your antivirus software. You can do this by going to the settings of your antivirus software and adding the installation files to the exceptions list.

Step 4: If you're still facing issues, you may need to uninstall and reinstall Trados Studio and MultiTerm Desktop. Before reinstalling, make sure to disable your antivirus software temporarily.

Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software after the installation process is complete to keep your system protected.
