Hello!
I am tasked to troubleshoot and modify Trados' parameters to suit the needs of a translation team. My team deals with highly technical documents which require careful consideration of the proper terminology based on the document's domain/subject and, of course, context. As such, they have several very well built term bases, which I have added in the Trados platform.
The team's supervisor has expressed the importance of keeping uniform terminology and wishes me to find a way to alert the translator IF THEY type a term into the TARGET segment that is not congruent with the selected termbase.
For example: the source segment has the term 'grass'. The termbase has this term's translation set to 'gazon', but the translator types 'herbe' into the target segment instead. Is there any way for the system to alert the translator that they entered the incorrect term?
Thank you for your answer, I am not hopeful such a setting exists, but my team is adamant they wish to have this, and so this is me doing my due-diligence and exhausting every potential lead that may answer this request.
