Cannot install Multiterm 2015

Hi, I have had to re-install my Windows 10, and I have successfully re-installed Trados 2019, but when I try to install Multiterm 2015 I get this message at the end of the installation process. At the end of the installation I am asked whether I want to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1. If I don't install it, set up will exit, so I click on "install", but then I get the following error message

Setup has detected that the file 'C:\Users\JENNIF~1\AppData\Local\Temp\VSD25B9.tmp\VCRedist2005SP1-KB2538242\vcredist_x86.exe' has changed since it was initially published.

The setup exits and the programme is not installed.

I can't install my term bases without Multiterm, so I need to resolve this problem

Thanks

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information about the steps you have already taken to resolve the issue, and specify the exact version of MultiTerm you are trying to install.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Jennifer,

It seems like you're having trouble installing MultiTerm 2015 on your Windows 10 system. The error message you're seeing is related to the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1, which is a required component for MultiTerm. Here are some steps you can try:

Step 1: Ensure your Windows 10 is up-to-date. You can do this by going to Start -> Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update, and then click on "Check for updates". Install any available updates.

Step 2: Uninstall any existing installations of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) from Programs and Features in Control Panel.

    Step 3: Restart your computer.

Step 4: Navigate to C:\Program Data\Package Cache\SDL\Dependencies in your File Explorer and double-click on the 2005_vcredist_x86.exe file to install it manually.

Step 5: Try to install MultiTerm 2015 again.

If the problem persists, you might want to consider upgrading to a newer version of MultiTerm, as MultiTerm 2015 might not be fully compatible with the latest versions of Windows 10.
