I am trying to convert a IATE .tbx file into MultiTerm format using MultiTerm Convert.
The following error message is displayed:
Trying to use Glossary Converter instead, also results in an error.
Any suggestions?

IATE was always a real handful to deal with for many reasons. Henk Sanderson used to do a great job of cleaning them up and offering versions that could more easily be used in any CAT tool, but he retired in July this year (at least that's when he told me) and he's closed his website so we also removed him from the appstore. You do still have the IATE Real-time Terminology plugin which also avoids complications, but lacks the ability for customising the way you could with a TBX and also lacks the ability to run a terminology resource locally.

I haven't looked at IATE since we built the plugin and I wrote those articles... so eleven years ago (where has the time gone!)... but I can imagine a downloaded TBX from IATE would still have similar problems. Using the API can solve many issues without needing an intensive clean up but the raw TBX is most likely still problematic.
