Multiterm 2022 (Version 17.2.12.19268) - Unable to open Select termbase dialog box and unable to add terms from Studio

I am unable to open any Termbase in Multiterm 2022 (Version 17.2.12.19268). I can open Multiterm, however when I click on "Open Termbase" on the Home Tab, the Select Termbase dialog box opens at the back of the main window and I cannot access it in any way. Then Multiterm freezes and I need to switch my PC off.

I have removed and reinstalled Multiterm but to no avail.

In Studio I can select databases, but I cannot add any term to any of them. If I try, Studio freezes and I need to switch off again.

What should I do? I am at loss.
