Help/Suggestion regarding TB "getting lost" in Trados

Dear all,

My issue is that when we receive a project from our client, accordin to Trados, the given TB is active (i.e. the green tick is there), but it doesn't actually indicate the mis-matches. We have to remove the client's TB and put it back, only then it functions for a while. But after some time spent on the same project, it stops functioning again – so it has to be manually removed and put back again. The same thing happens with the translator as well: he has to remove the client's TB and put it back in order for it to function.

This particular issue only happens with one pariular client of ours.

Do you have any idea what might be the problem...?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Ágnes

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about the version of Trados Studio you are using and any recent changes made to the project or settings.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Ágnes,

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with the termbase (TB) not functioning correctly in Trados Studio. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

**Step 1:** Verify that the termbase is correctly added to the project. Go to `Project Settings > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Termbases` and ensure that the TB is listed and active.

**Step 2:** Check the permissions for the termbase. If the TB is not accessible, it may be due to permission issues. You can do this by checking the project settings and ensuring that your user has the necessary permissions to access the TB.

**Step 3:** Re-index the termbase. If you are using a cloud-based TB, log into your Trados Live account, navigate to `Resources > Termbases`, select the TB, and click on `Re-index`. For file-based TBs, open Trados Studio, go to `Termbases view`, select the TB, and choose `Settings > Performance and Tuning > Re-index Termbase`.

**Step 4:** If the issue persists, consider creating a new termbase specifically for this project. Sometimes, starting fresh can resolve underlying issues.

**Step 5:** Lastly, ensure that your version of Trados Studio is up to date. An outdated version may lead to compatibility issues with termbases.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to gather more information about the specific project settings and any recent changes that could have affected the TB's functionality.
