Multiterm 2015 with Trados Workbench (2007)

Hi, can I use the newest Multiterm Version 2015 together with my Trados Workbench, or do I need to keep an older version of Multiterm installed to work with termbases in Trados Workbench (2007)? Are there any problems running two different Multiterm versions on the same computer? (In my case I still have Multiterm 8.5.355 installed and would add Multiterm 2015).

And yes, I do know that I can translate bilingual word files in Studio 2015, but so far, it only worked if I tagged them first in Wordfast. Pretranslating them in Trados Workbench, Studio 2015 gave me error messages every time. And it seems that SDL LegIt is not yet available for Studio2015. I have a client who still works with bilingual word files and occasionally sends termbases that have to be used.

Thanks in advance,

Susanne

  • Hi Susanne,

You would need an older version, much older, to work with Trados Workbench.  I'm pretty sure you could run them together though.

SDL Legit! has been updated for 2015, but we're just testing as we also fixed a few things that had been reported with the previous version.  If you'd like to test it you can download it from here.  It'll be made available properly via the OpenExchange in the next few days I think.... I've had no issues with it at all, I just wanted verification from a few people I know were struggling in the past.

    Regards
