Cursor hopping from editing panel to left panel of Multiterm

Question

When editing or adding a term in Multiterm 2015, my cursor often and unpredictably hops from wherever I have it in the right-hand panel to the hitlist in the left panel. This is very peeving and makes me have to move the cursor back to the right-hand panel to continue editing. Is there a solution for this fault in the program, or at least the hope of a solution in MT 2017?

Many thanks for your notes above, Alison, which I appreciated receiving immediately also by e-mail. In the days right after I sent in my question, I also received a grandchild and apologise for not having thanked you sooner. If this malfunction has been precluded from MT 2017, as we both now hope, then it's no major headache anymore. I have already pre-paid the 2017 editions of MT and Studio and hope to get them soon, though not until the Beta stage has hopefully resulted in correcting any possible problems.

Hi again, I had a look back through posts and found something I'd forgotten... that I complained about this myself back in January 2015 when using both Studio and MultiTerm 2014... community.sdl.com/.../3328 (if the link doesn't work it's because it's the unlisted Beta group and you need to be a member) There wasn't any solution presented at that time, but Clemens did identify when it was happening for him: 'I add a new term or a synonym to an existing term. The focus moves to the termbase view pane. I open a custom field for the term and start entering text. After typing a few characters I suddenly notice the jump into my active segment in the editor and the rest of my texts ends up there.' This certainly doesn't happen to me frequently in MultiTerm 2015 now and, I think, never in Studio 2015. When I have the time, I will test this out again in MultiTerm 2015 and also make a note to test it when we get a beta for MultiTerm 2017... All the best, Ali

We are planning to change the Add New Term behaviour in the new layout in a future update, so hopefully you will then be happier with the new layout as we improved a lot of areas. 
 
If the focus behaviour is still happening in the old flags layout it would be great if you could provide steps on how to reproduce the behaviour.
