Sending Termbases in Studio packages: how to send only a language pair

Hi again: 
 
 I have a very large Multiterm Termbase (+2000 terms+fields in 34 languages) which I need to send included in translation and review packages to translators. This Termbase is set in SDL template as usual in Settings->Language Pairs -> All language pairs ->Termbases. I cannot find a way to send only terms from a language combination, Spanish->French as an example. For TMs it's easy to create Project Translations Memories so there is no need to send big .sdltm files in packages. Is there a way of filtering terms to create a "language pair oriented" sub-Termbase to be sent in packages? I know it's possible to create filters to show only specific terms but I don't know if I can use this feature somehow to send smaller Termbases in packages. 
 Any solution? Making the Termbase available online is the only one that comes to my mind... but we'd like to explore some workaround.

Have you tried the partial export from a TB as XML - you should be able to just choose which languages you include that way. 
 Edit - Thinking about it you might also need to send a termbase definition in addition to the XML file.

This is really where MultiTerm Server which is part of GroupShare shines. You can give online access to one central termbase from Studio or MultiTerm and also define permissions as to who can edit which language and see which entries if you have any confidential terms. 
So you don't need to worry about out of sync terminology and bringing it all back together. 
 
Maybe that something to explore?
