Multiterm 2015 hangs on trying to create a new termbase with a Multiterm Extract-created termbase definition file.

Question

I have Multiterm 2015 SR2 working on Windows 10. 
 I wanted to create a termbase from an Excel file ; Multiterm Convert worked fine. I then started Multiterm Desktop 2015 SR2 to create a new termbase with the converted files : after I entered all the settings and clicked OK, MT Desktop displayed an error message box appears, without text), and hanged. 
 Have any of you come across that issue before ? Have you found any solution ?

I have not come across this problem, but I'd recommend you try using the Glossary Converter to do the conversion from Excel straight to an SDLTB. This tool is a lot more modern than MultiTerm Convert and makes short work of Excel conversions. You can read a little about this here if you have not seen it before:
