I manage our company's terminology in MultiTerm and provide it is a server-based database onto which all translators should be able to connect.
The question is: do I have to install MultiTerm on a translator's pc to get his/her term recognition in Studio 2011 working?

This is not required as the Multiterm Core components required for term recognition and term capture from within Studio are automatically installed with Studio 2011.
