About Adding new term to existing TB?

Question

Hello, 
 
 I have an existing voluminous Termbase and I would like to add more terms to it such as incorporating the Excel file prepared for this purpose into existing Termbase. 
 I know how to add bilingual terms manually on the fly in Editor view. However, I would like to perform this action of adding new terms through Excel file independently of Editor view. How can I do it? 
 Thanks in advance. (BTW, I am using SDL Trados 2017).

Hi Alpay, 
 
You need to convert your excel spreadsheet into MultiTerm XML, make sure it's the same definition as your termbase, and then import the terms. It's not too hard when the format of your termbase matches that of your spreadsheet... in fact if they are the same definition it might be easier to convert your termbase to Excel, then add the terms in excel, check for duplicates, and then just convert it back.
