Regex within XPath rules?

Question

Hi all, 
 A client needs some strings to have a length limitation in the target. These strings are the ones which contains the "title" attribute. However, this attribute is slightly different depending on the file. I know that Studio allows to set a length limit on an specific attribute with the parser rules of an XML custom file type.

The point is: is it possible to use regex to match the different ways in which this attribute is displayed? Maybe anyone has a better approach for this? Here you have some screenshots of the mentioned attribute for reference:

 Thank you very much for your reply. Actually the file does not contains CDATA. I used your "contain" function approach and it works like a charm! 
 The XPath rule I used was (just in case anybody finds it useful):

//trans-unit[contains(@id,':title') and @datatype='plaintext']/target

 So it looks like you have XLIFF files and you are using XML parser to enable length check? Length check function won't work within CDATA sections. If you do have CDATA wrapper, then you will need to use XML with legacy inline settings in order to enable length check. For specifying portion of attribute value, "contains" would work, i.e. //trans-unit[contains(@id,&rsquo;title&rsquo;)] or something like that.
