I have a sample file like this:
<html> <p>The below image shows that the p0_pblock has been adjusted so that its bottom edge is pulled higher by a half clock region to avoid the error. <span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;">function</span> can be used again to confirm this.</p> </html>
Ideally, it should be segmented into two:
The 1st segment being: The below image shows that the p0_pblock has been adjusted so that its bottom edge is pulled higher by a half clock region to avoid the error.
The 2nd segment being: <span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;">function</span> can be used again to confirm this.
I setup the language rules to use the period (.) as the segmentation rule.
I setup <span> like this:
But then, Studio treated the whole paragraph as one segment,
It's always the same even if I changed the Segmentation hint to: Include, Include with Text or May Exclude.
But when I set the Segmentation hint to Exclude, Studio separated the paragraph into three segments instead.
The 1st segment being: The below image shows that the p0_pblock has been adjusted so that its bottom edge is pulled higher by a half clock region to avoid the error.
The 2nd segment being: function
The 3rd segment being: can be used again to confirm this.
Please suggest how I can get it right. By the way, I'm using Trados Studio 2024.
Thanks
