Hi, there,
I am new to regex. Today when I was trying to use it in Trados, I wanted to see whether the verification checks would find out the self-specified error. I went to "Project Settings" - Verification - QA checker 3.0 - Regular Expressions, then I selected from one of the example, which was "contain website links" and then selected the condition as "Report if target matches (target check only) and I ran the check. However, it seemed that Trados couldn't find out the error that I had specified. The passage I was trying on contained two segments which were purely website addresses, with no tags or other texts. I tried again with adding some texts, it didn't work. I tried with ticking "Ignore Cases", it didn't work, either. Since I didn't know how to add tags, I didn't try this method.
I ran another QA check for finding out the redundant spaces before colons, it worked for that. So I thought the QA checker was O.K.
But then why my check for the HTTP address failed?
Thank you for the help!
Best Regards,
Maggie
