Project templates

Hello, I use a lot of project templates for creating projects in Studio 2017. I have two questions:

- in Studio 2014, I used to be able to navigate through the list of templates (which appears as a dropdown menu when creating a new project) using the mouse wheel. This doesn't seem to work anymore in Studio 2017. Is there a setting somewhere for this or is it just a bug?

- is there a way to organize this list of templates in alphabetical order?

Thanks,

Anne-Laure

  • Hello Anne-Laure,
scrolling works fine for me, make sure your Studio has focus when scrolling.

You can sort A-Z by clicking on Name column heading - but this you have to do every time you open this list; or by editing the list of templates - I keep all the templates in one folder so easiest way is to remove them all and import all (it is possible to import all of them in one go); another possibility is to manually edit c:\Users\<user name>\Documents\Studio 2017\Projects\projects.xml - under <ProjectTemplates> just by copy/paste into required order.

But as said, best is clear the list and re-import all the templates in one go.
