My "Translation Results" window keeps being pushed to the background by the "Messages" window, which is very annoying. I can close the "Messages" window, but sure enough, it will reappear like a zombie a few segments later. I have also clicked on the "Delete all messages" icon but the window still reappear soon after.

Thanks, Paul. I can undock the window, but that undocks my Translation Results window with it, so that doesn't seem to solve it. Here is a sample window that appears. If I recall correctly, the match that showed up for this had some locked tags. I think that's what caused the error messages window to pop up.

You need to pull the message window out of that group, not move the whole group!
Maybe uncheck the tag verification though and then you won't get these messages at all. All the options are in here:

I am having the same problem in Studio 2019, even after following all of the steps. Nothing works. I have no idea why it is doing this. Any new insights since more than three years ago? THANKS
Better to create a new thread and be clear about what you are seeing and what the problem is? Also useful to see the type of errors as this could influence a solution.

Studio 2019 same problem. Driving me INSANE. Can't stop the Messages window from popping up and covering the translation results. NIGHTMARE

I don't have a solution, but have you tried closing the messages window by clicking the little "x" in the upper right corner?
The first time I close the messages window like that, it pops open once more when I start working in Editor view again, but when I close it the *second* time it stays closed until I do another Verify -- after which I have to close the messages window twice again.
Weird and irritating, but manageable :-)
From what I recall (it has been a while), if you don't close the messages window, but instead move the cursor back to the editor, then the messages window will just keep on popping up over and over and grabbing the focus.
